Talking about us... might just be our favorite subject..
History

2011 - The Start
Not every story begins with excitement. Our story for sure did not... I (Andrew) joined a video competition in highschool with some friends. I borrowed a camera from my sister and we filmed and produced our first (and notably - terrible) video. However, this experience gave me some experience and started me down the path of becoming a photographer. Over the next 2 years - we would pick up a few clients for video work.

2013 - The Turning Point
Alot happened in 2013 - I bought my first DSLR camera - I started my official business. Booked a few more clients for video work and then decided that I didnt actually enjoy making videos. I loved being behind the camera but wanted to focus on still shots. A friend of mine invited me to his daughters birthday party. So I bought my camera. I captured some good shots of her and after her grandma saw them. She told me "You have an eye for this"
I started the official photography business.

Now - Progression
After several years in the photography business, I moved a few hours away from my home town and started fresh. With the help of my Fiance - I started into sports photography. I absolutely love capturing action shots. Then there was a need for posed portraits and I looked at what other photographers were doing and decided that I just wanted to do something different. I started with a digital background I created and it grew from there. A few months went by and I was asked to make banners, so we did. Banners turned into yard signs, yard signs turned into billboards. Its been a journey and we are really excited to see where it takes us!

What software do you use to edit?
Like many photographers - we use adobe products. Lightroom, Camera Raw, Photoshop, etc. We have also started experimenting with AI editing programs to speed the editing process. However, we are not to the point of being able to fully trust it.
How long until I receive my photos?
It depends on the situation. Editing is a time consuming process.
- Weddings - a small preview within the week. Complete gallery - within 2 months.
- Family Portraits - 1-2 Weeks
- Corporate headshots - 1-2 Weeks
- Team photos - This is tricky because it depends on if there is a make up photo day. Typically 4-6 weeks in normal for these.
You took photos of my player but not his team? Do we not get a team photo?
This might be the number 1 question from parents.. When capturing photos of your child, I generally will take two photos. The first is the individual pose and the second is a team pose. I then collect the team photo poses from your entire team and combine them digitally to create a "composite" image.
This helps to ensure each person is looking at the camera, eyes are open, and it helps us to avoid distractions in the image (hand signs, funny faces, etc)
